Nota d'usoLa traduzione corretta della parola “debito” nel senso generale di cosa o somma di denaro dovuta a qualcuno è debt, non debit: I have a debt with him, ho un debito con lui (non I have a debit with him). Bisogna inoltre fare attenzione alla pronuncia di debt che è /dɛt/, non /dɛbt/. Il sostantivo debit viene usato per lo più in contesto bancario, ad indicare “il dare” oppure un “addebito” sul conto corrente: direct debit, addebito diretto (di bollette e simili sul conto bancario). -
